TFCCxATJ Book Talk with authors Kathi Zellweger and Mike Chinoy, on
Miss Kathi: Saving Lives in North Korea
Dear Members,

As part of our monthly TFCCxATJ Talk Series, we will be hosting a book talk with Kathi Zellweger, a former aid worker in and renowned expert on humanitarian assistance to North Korea, and her co-author Mike Chinoy on Wednesday July 15.

Kathi made 75 trips to North Korea and lived there for five years. Her book Miss Kathi: Saving Lives in North Korea, co-written with TFCC member and former CNN Asia correspondent Mike Chinoy, is one of the first book-length accounts in English by an aid worker operating on the ground in the DPRK. Kathi had access to North Korea that most journalists and most aid workers can only dream of.

Renowned Korea expert John Delury called the book “a gift to the field of North Korea studies, and anyone who wants to get an unbiased, unvarnished, yet compassionate view of life for ‘average’ Koreans”. Miss Kathi, Saving Lives in North Korea will be released on September 1. This book talk provides an exculsive opportunity to meet her in Taipei.

Attendance is free for members of the Taiwan Foreign Correspondents’ Club (TFCC) and the Association of Taiwan Journalists (ATJ).
Non-members must register in advance may apply to join TFCC or ATJ on site.
